Last term we made a question on what we want to now about space my question was How are planets made?  I got my information from this website. https://lcogt.net/spacebook/planets-and-how-they-formed/

The planets in our solar system were made by the Solar Nebula a disc made of hydrogen and helium and  other elements left over from the birth of The Sun. The partials of the Nebula started to clump toghter because of gravity. Over a few million years the clumps mergerd toghter and they became the planetesimals and then they mergerd toghter they became the size of our Moon they were called protoplanets. The temperature in the solar system began to rise and in the inner solar system only objects with very high melting point would survive so the planets in the inner solar system couldn’t collide with very much objects so that is why Mercury, Venes, Earth and Mars are so small. In the outer solar system was colder so the outer planets could collide with water, hydrogen and other  substances. So that is why Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are so big.

imageimageimage Yesterday 5M and I went to the V.S.S.E.C. with 5V. We split in to your classes 5V did Mission To Mars first and we did serious science first. Each activity had two parts in part one we learnt about static electricity we got to use the static stick (first pic). In part two we made robots my friend and my robot got destroyed. Next we did the Mission To Mars we got to wear space suits (last pic) but then we got split in to to groups. Group one went to the Mars Base (pic two) and group two went to Mission Control all of group one got out of the Mars base and survived the meteor shower with 5 seconds to go. Then we swapped over, three members of group 2 died but they actually didn’t die. Mission control was my favourite activity.

Today my science group (Marcus and Connor) and I found out how the things in the  lunar system rotate

Earth: Rotates anticlockwise and orbits the Sun anticlockwise.

Sun: Still.

Moon: orbits anticlockwise around the Earth.

Posted by jacbar15 | Posted in Uncategorized | Posted on October 6, 2015

Dear viewers,

Haiku poems were created in Japan. They have three lines  don’t need to rhyme. But need to have 5 syllables on the button and top line and 7 on the Middle.

                                                          Dragons

                                             Strong, huge reptilian

Fire breathing creatures of the past

Acute teeth and raiser claws

Can you write a haiku?
